Just around the corner: LVHN Fitness classes to shape up your winter

November 24, 2015  /  The holiday season, for all its wonderfulness and charm, can also be pretty stressful. It’s so busy for many of us that we end up throwing aside parts of our normal routine in order to make sure we celebrate the season just right. For me, that often means my regularly schedule workouts, which I love. From the night before Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, it’s a battle to fit in some exercise between the festivities, shopping, wrapping, decorating, party-going and party-throwing. Love the parties, hate missing my workout. This gives me stress, which, ironically, I normally rely on exercise to help sooth.

So what’s a gal to do?

LVHN Fitness at One City Center

For starters, I will not panic. To keep exercise in rotation this time of year, I may just have to mix things up. Taking a new class that I haven’t tried before might be the key. I am lucky to have LVHN Fitness in One City Center, right around the corner from STRATA Flats. They’ve got a fantastic list of Group Fitness choices available Monday through Friday, including Functional Fusion (Love to get my suspension training on!), Zumba (‘Cause why not dance it out?) and Boot Camp (Give those holiday pounds the boot, y’all!)

All STRATA residents recieve 20% off the membership fee at LVHN Fitness at One City Center, which is a great deal. While memberships are required to take classes, LVHN Fitness also offers one-day passes for just $8 and one-week passes for only $30 so you can take the classes for a test drive or workout a la carte if you prefer. Here’s the schedule for the remainder of 2015:

Check the LVHN Fitness at One City Center webpage for their winter offerings, including new Saturday classes.

These classes are offered at the 17,000-square-foot LVHN Fitness facility next door to PPL Center, literally a few minutes walk from STRATA. In addition to the group classes, the also offer massage services, personal training, a state-of-the-art multisport simulator and sports performance programming. It’s a great supplement for anyone who already enjoys STRATA’s fitness amenities, but wants to mix things up or take their training to the next level.
